About
We are now living at an exciting time when a great shift in consciousness is taking place: holistic living, yoga, meditation, tai chi, alternative medicine, pursuit of self-realization, and environmental stewardship are becoming mainstream; the world’s leading physicists are pushing our existing boundaries about what we know regarding the nature of our given reality, further defining both our earthly dimension and the multitude of dimensions beyond the physical; scientists are discovering and understanding the power of the mind, by studying the placebo effect — the true source of healing within our psyche; and researchers are exploring the powerful effects of meditation, hypnosis, and spirituality on our physical, mental, and emotional health.
The articles found on Holistic Future aim to bridge scientific findings with holistic lifestyles and metaphysical concepts. Much of the news published on our site reflects not only the latest findings on environmental issues, and living a more holistic lifestyle that nurtures mind, body and spirit, but also describes our explorations into human potential and subsequent discoveries that ultimately confirm what we intuitively know about our greater selves, our inherent abilities to affect the world around us, and that there is much more to our world — and universe — than we currently assume.
Why the Name “Holistic Future”
The term “Holistic” is commonly associated with treating and healing the physical body as one complete system, where all parts are perceived to be interrelated and affect one another. “Holism” more broadly relates to all living organisms that interact with each other where one part affects the well-being of the whole system. If we view our entire existence as holistic and realize that every action and intention affects the greater whole of our world, then we are able to make better choices for a more positive, desirable future.
